North Atlantic Fisheries College, Scalloway Date Completed: 2001 Role: Main Contractor Value: £2.1 million

Type of work: Construction of two new buildings on the college campus. The first building was Port Arthur House which provides 25 study bedrooms and communal facilities on two storeys. The second building was John Goodlad Centre, a two storey fisheries science learning resource centre. The centre contains classrooms, teaching laboratories and houses a new library with mezzanine study area. Both buildings were clad in profiled aluminium, appropriate for the harsh climatic conditions and costal environment.
