about us :: staff training All senior personnel are trained for the particular task which they are responsible. Members of the work force are encouraged and are supported by the firm to undertake training in the aspects of the work they are expected to carry out. Our training is reviewed periodically to meet staff requirements. Each year working closely with the CITB we employ apprentices. All the apprentices attend college on a part time basis and the management closely monitors their progress. The more senior apprentices are granted assistance and time off work to attend advanced skill training. We are currently proceeding towards Investors In People. Irvine Contractors has done and continues to annually employ its maximum number of apprentices in order to ensure a future input of skilled labour not only for itself, but also for the future of the building industry in Shetland. |
